BWT and ADAC race together for Africa

Over 2.2 billion people worldwide have no regular access to clean drinking water. With the b.waterMISSION project of the AQUA Pearls For You and Planet Blue Foundation, BWT is committed to the construction of sustainable well systems in primarily rural regions in Africa.

By expanding the partnership with the ADAC, which has existed since 2019, the entire DTM racing series could be fully equipped with water dispensers for teams, athletes and fans in 2023, thus saving unnecessary CO2 emissions and tons of plastic waste and setting an example for change.

In addition, we have gained a strong partner in the ADAC, which is working with us to build wells in Africa and thus provide local people with access to clean drinking water.

New taps

Our common goal is to build 10,000 drinking water wells for people in Africa. In recent years, the ADAC Race Lap Award at each ADAC GT Masters Series race has donated EUR 4 per completed lap per car to the b.waterMISSION project - 50% financed by BWT and 50% by the ADAC.

In 2023, the Race Lap Award system was adopted in the DTM series. As a result, a total of €70,000 was collected, which amounts to a total of 10 new wells for people in Africa.

A total of 25 wells have already been built together with the ADAC - an enormously important contribution for our blue planet and for our fellow human beings in Africa.
