It empowers individuals to make a positive change, contributing to the betterment of our world. The journey towards sustainability has begun, marked by a vibrant shade of pink.

The team has been able to achieve success in these series for many years. Now it has reached its peak, because we are the champions again – Bastian Buus and BWT Lechner Racing on top.

Bastian Buus is the  Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Champion 2023 – the 10thdriver title for Lechner Racing!  BWT Lechner Racing is the winner of the  team championship -  the 13thtitle for Lechner Racing! And to round up a fantastic weekend, Harry King won the final race of the year, while Harri Jones in P4 reached his best result of the season!  What a great outcome for the Austrian team at the eighth and last race of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2023 at the classical Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in front of the Italian tifosi!

Harry King managed to take the lead from pole position and defended it until the finish line, through a very eventful race with two restarts after Safety-Car periods, and with his third win of the season also helped a lot to secure the drivers´ title for his teammate Bastian Buus and the team championship for BWT Lechner Racing. “What a great way to finish the season”, the Brit was ever so happy after his third win of the season.  “I never really felt in danger, could withstand any pressure from behind and bring this ever so important victory home!”

It was a more than nerve wrecking race for Buus, who had gone into the race from P9 on the grid with a 21 points lead over his closest competitor.  „I had  the one and only goal to stay out of any trouble. And then I suddenly got spun around from behind. The car didn´t start again immediately and so I dropped to the end of the field. The only thing I could do was to keep cool and make up as much ground as possible. Everything else was out of my control”, the Danish Porsche Junior stated – and then was completely over the moon:  “But now it is such a great feeling to win the Supercup title after a long, hard fight.  A big, big Thank You to BWT Lechner Racing, who gave me a fantastic car and a lot of support over the whole season and made this achievement possible.”

Australian rookie Harri Jones started from P3, his best grid position in the whole year, and was in a close fight for P3 during the whole race. In the end he finished in P4, his best Supercup result ever and made it to the top step of the rookie podium.  “Monza has been our most successful weekend of the year”, the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup winner 2022 was happy. “To stand on this very special podium with all its history and to hear the Australian national anthem was a very special feeling and gave me goosebumps. I’m really proud for  BWT Lechner Racing to claim another team and drivers championship and will always remember this great year with the team.”

For BWT Lechner Racing Team Principal and CEO Robert Lechner, it was a fantastic end to a great season: “Congratulations to Bastian, who showed an impressive performance over the whole year, was very consistent  and really deserves the title. It has been an incredible journey together since our first meeting in Salzburg, with him becoming the youngest Supercup race winner and securing the rookie title in a dominant way in 2022, then being selected as a Porsche Junior. And now he was crowned the youngest Supercup champion ever! Harry King  drove his best Supercup season ever with two pole positions and three victories, more than anybody else this year. He won the start of the season in Monaco, now the final in Monza – and in between he delivered so well at the Hungaroring. But I was never enjoying his King-like performance as much as here, where he did an absolutely perfect job, contributing a lot to the success of the whole team. To defend our team title and win this championship for the 13thtime is an impressive record and a fantastic achievement. On such a happy day I would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody involved, the whole team, the drivers, our partners BWT, GlobeAir and Mabanaft. Looking back on day one after the end of the championship I am happy and proud of what we achieved all together again this year, but it is also already day one of the start into the new season.”
