Higher than usual running costs and frequent breakdowns of the practice’s autoclave was not only pushing up running costs but was also disruptive and worrying for the busy practice. Investigations by Surgery@102’s own maintenance team identified limescale as a major factor in the frequent breakdowns and a result of an RO (Reverse Osmosis) system that the practice had outgrown. With access to high purity water of utmost importance to ensure proper hygiene was delivered to their customers, Surgery@102 needed a modern reliable replacement system.
After speaking to the practice about its issues, Surgery@102’s own engineer recommended BWT’s services. The engineer, whom has a long trustworthy relationship with the clinic, advised that BWT’s products are high quality and reliable. Agreed in principle, the engineer then set up a call between the clinic and BWT to discuss further.

The Solution
Given the needs of the busy practice, a need for high purity water on tap, low running costs and reliability a BWT THERO 90 RO solution was agreed upon.
The BWT THERO 90 is perfect for dental practices like Surgery@102 driven by technology this compact 'reverse osmosis' system provides high purity water on demand. It removes at least 98% of any undesirable elements like any heavy metals, microplastics, bacteria, viruses, hormones, nitrates, limescale these and any other contaminants are washed away.
The BWT THERO 90 is highly efficient and can produce 1.5 litres of water per minute, without the need for a storage tank. Especially important for a practice like Surgery@102 where hygiene safety is paramount, the membrane is flushed for 10 seconds after each production or every 3 hours whichever occurs first. The advanced single cartridge system can be replaced simply thanks to the auto shut of feature housed in the head of the aluminium housing. The THERO 90 is supplied with its own tap helping to preventing cross contamination.
After the prompt installation by a BWT company engineer, the surgery expressed they were impressed with the speed of the installation and how far BWT were willing to physically travel to their customers.
